Rep. Roger Williams, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 25th district since 2013, has been vocal on social media about his legislative initiatives and political stance. Born in Evanston, Illinois, in 1949 and a graduate of Texas Christian University, Williams has focused on supporting small businesses and advocating for Republican values.

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Williams announced his introduction of legislation aimed at reducing regulatory burdens on financial institutions to enhance credit access for small businesses. He emphasized the importance of these measures by stating "It's time to Make Small Businesses Great Again!".

The following day, February 5, 2025, he expressed support for the Republican Party's stance on women's issues by declaring "House Republicans are the party of common-sense and will always stand up for women."

Later that day, Williams shared his upcoming participation in a Financial Services Committee hearing addressing concerns from community bankers about reporting requirements under Section 1071. He invited followers to view his line of questioning at the hearing by announcing "HAPPENING SOON I have heard from small community bankers in #TX25 and across the country concerning the complicated reporting requirements of 1071."
