Governor Greg Abbott has announced the appointment of Tim Timmerman and the reappointment of Bobby Patton to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission. Both appointees will serve terms that conclude on February 1, 2031. The Commission is charged with overseeing the conservation and management of Texas's natural and cultural resources, aiming to enhance hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation for current and future residents.
Timothy "Tim" Timmerman, based in Austin, leads Timmerman Capital LLC and various real estate investment ventures. He presides over the Colorado River Land Trust and participates actively on boards including the Central Texas Community Foundation and the YMCA of Central Texas. Timmerman also holds affiliations with the Texas A&M University Chancellor’s Century Council. He is a former vice chairman of St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center. Timmerman is an alumnus of Texas A&M University and The University of Texas at Austin.
Bobby Patton from Fort Worth heads Texas Capitalization Resource Group, Inc. His affiliations extend to the State Bar of Texas, UT Marine Science Institute, and Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. A former chairman of the PGA Tournament Committee for Charles Schwab, Patton holds degrees from UT Austin, St. Mary’s Law School, and Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
