Texas Empowerment Academy School District Education: 33 Hispanic students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 33 Hispanic students enrolled in Texas Empowerment Academy School District in the 2022-23 school year, 25% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Texas Empowerment Academy School District welcomed 399 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 8.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Texas Empowerment Academy School District roughly covers schools within Travis County and has a main office in Austin.

Among the two schools in Texas Empowerment Academy School District, Texas Empowerment Academy recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 23 students.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
