On March 24, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy Press Office tweeted about illegal alien households allegedly abusing welfare programs. According to the tweet: "59% of illegal alien households are abusing one or more welfare programs and 9 MILLION illegal aliens are gaming the housing system." The tweet further stated that "Illegal aliens should have NEVER been allowed to abuse ANY taxpayer funded program."
On March 25, 2025, another tweet highlighted an incident involving an illegal alien released under President Biden's administration who was charged with capital murder. The tweet emphasized: "ANOTHER Biden-released illegal alien CHARGED with a crime... It is important that these criminals are DEPORTED back to their country of origin and off American streets."
Later on March 25, Rep. Chip Roy advocated for the passage of the SAVE Act through another tweet featuring a quote from Ken Blackwell: "The SAVE Act isn’t a reaction to a crisis; it’s a proactive step to prevent one... Let’s ensure that the only votes cast in America are by Americans."
