U.S. Senator John Cornyn from Texas recently met with families who are part of American Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism United. These families have lost loved ones in terrorist attacks around the world, including the Copeland family, whom Senator Cornyn has previously met.

During this meeting, Senator Cornyn introduced his new legislation, the American Victims of Terrorism Compensation Act. This proposed law aims to improve the U.S. Victims of State-Sponsored Terrorism Fund. The fund provides assistance to Americans injured in international state-sponsored terrorist acts and their families.

Senator Cornyn is a member of several Senate committees, including Finance, Judiciary, Intelligence, Foreign Relations, and Budget.
