There were 194 Hispanic students enrolled in University of Texas Elementary Charter School District in the 2022-23 school year, 2.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that University of Texas Elementary Charter School District welcomed 296 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 65.5% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

University of Texas Elementary Charter School District roughly covers schools within Travis County and has a main office in Austin.

University of Texas Elementary Charter School was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 194 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
