Senator Cruz criticizes VP Harris's handling of border security

"I am proud to stand unequivocally with our Israeli allies – they have a right and indeed an obligation to defend their citizens from acts of terrorism by Iranian-backed Hamas." During a joint session of Congress this week, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech. He addressed the gravity of the war in Israel, the existential threat to Israeli allies, and the risks posed to American national security. "I am unshakeable in my commitment to the state of Israel, and as the leader of the free world, the United States should do the same by standing with its ally to utterly eradicate Hamas for as long as it takes."

"This is a historic moment. Israel is at war [and] America should be standing unshakably with the State of Israel as they follow through on utterly eliminating Hamas. At the same time, it’s tragic that many of my Democrat colleagues, including Vice President Kamala Harris, plan to boycott the speech. They refused to even listen to the democratically elected leader of Israel. This is the latest trend of the anti-Israel, antisemitic wing of the Democrat party. We should stand united. We should stand alongside our friend."

The Biden administration has been criticized for its approach to national security, with particular focus on Vice President Kamala Harris's role as "border czar." Critics argue she has failed in her duty to protect national borders.

"[Vice President Kamala Harris’] record is extraordinarily radical. … Every one of the disastrous policies Joe Biden [has pushed over] the last four years Kamala Harris supports. … Listen, as Republicans, if we do not refer to her every moment of the day as ‘border czar’ Kamala Harris we're committing political malpractice because she was put in charge of the border. As you know, she didn't even bother to come to the border. She went once to El Paso and they cleaned it up so she saw no illegal aliens. But she never went to the Rio Grande Valley. She never went to Eagle Pass. She never went to Del Rio.”

Concerns were also raised about attempts by Democrats allegedly aimed at packing the Supreme Court.

"Kamala Harris embodies the radical left wing of the Democrat Party, and sadly, that is where Democrats are in Senate. What's terrifying [is], if you look at Senate right now, Democrats have a 51-49 majority. They are one vote away from having votes to pack US Supreme Court [and] having votes expand number justices from 9-13 [by adding] four radical left-wing justices... If Democrats win in November and if they gain one seat in Senate they will pack this Court.”

Additionally, there are concerns about education policies affecting African-American and Hispanic children.

“[When Vice President Kamala Harris] speaks teachers’ unions [and] I'm going predict…she will not use words ‘learning loss.’ Under Democrat [leadership], they shut schools down all across country [taking] tens millions kids [out] in-person school over year...students who were hurt most under Kamala Harris's policies were African American students and Hispanic students who have suffered single greatest learning loss since we've been measuring it.”

Issues related to Big Tech's impact on children were also highlighted.

“While there is no doubt that our country has greatly benefited from internet...painful even tragic cost...parents concerned online threats directed at kids...predators targeting children or online videos promoting self-harm...Senate beginning put Big Tech on notice…I’m proud work alongside Republicans and Democrats…and Commerce Committee…Kids Online Safety Act…Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act forward.”

The communication concludes with affirmations against what was termed “radical nonsense” affecting America's future.
