Governor Greg Abbott recently highlighted the strong bond between the United Kingdom and Texas during a lecture at The Margaret Thatcher Centre in London. The Governor's speech was part of his economic development trip to the UK, where he emphasized the shared values of freedom, democracy, and hard work between the two regions.

Highlighting the significant economic ties between Texas and the UK, Governor Abbott noted that the UK leads all nations in foreign direct investment projects in Texas. The two regions have a robust trade relationship, with Texas being the top state for exports to the UK.

The Texas Economic Development Corporation sponsored the Governor's trip, underscoring its commitment to promoting Texas as a premier business location. Together with the Governor's Economic Development & Tourism Office, these organizations play a pivotal role in advancing Texas' economic development agenda.
