U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has expressed his support for the recently passed continuing resolution that will fund the government through March 14, 2025. The senator emphasized the importance of maintaining government operations as the nation prepares for President Trump's administration.

Cruz stated, "I voted for this resolution to ensure our government remains fully operational and ready to hit the ground running on day one of President Trump’s administration. The American people made their voices loud and clear—they support bold, decisive change." He highlighted that this measure would enable Congress to begin confirming President Trump's nominees and implementing policies favored by Texans and Americans.

Additionally, Cruz noted a specific provision in the bill aimed at aiding South Texas agricultural producers. "I am pleased to have secured critical relief for Texans in this bill," he said. This provision addresses Mexico's non-compliance with its obligations under the 1944 Treaty on Utilization of Waters of the Colorado, Tijuana, and Rio Grande Rivers. According to Cruz, this funding is intended to provide immediate assistance to those affected in Texas.
