In a statement shared on April 16, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy's office expressed support for the arrest of illegal alien workers and the sanctioning of their employers. He asserted, "Arresting illegal alien workers and sanctioning their employers DETERS future illegal immigration," adding that "Worksite enforcement HELPS American workers get better wages AND working conditions."

Also on April 16, 2025, he addressed the topic of participation in sports, specifically stating his stance on gender issues. The post read, "Men have NO BUSINESS participating in women’s sports. That is COMMON SENSE."

In a third post from the same day, Roy reflected on his previous remarks regarding trans athlete Lia Thomas. He reiterated his position through a tweet that referenced past comments, saying, "I'm going to keep saying that Lia Thomas is a dude! I'll say it here, and I'll say it on social media, and I'll say it on the streets." He added, "We’re going to stand up and defend normalcy."

Chip Roy, originally from Bethesda, Maryland, currently resides in Austin, Texas. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia in 1994 and earned his JD from the University of Texas-Austin in 2003.
