U.S. Senator John Cornyn criticized Senate Democrats, accusing them of actions that undermine former President Trump's efforts on border security. In a recent statement, Senator Cornyn said that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he referred to as the "Border Czar," are responsible for what he describes as "the worst border crisis in history."
Cornyn specifically referenced Senator Van Hollen's trip to El Salvador, where Van Hollen met with an individual alleged to be an MS-13 gang member. Cornyn described this visit as a "political stunt" and a part of ongoing attempts by Democrats to challenge Trump's measures.
According to Cornyn, "The Left has become the party who laugh in the face of law and order and pander to the most progressive wing of their base. They have time and again prioritized politics over the safety and security of Americans. It is utterly divorced from reality."
Despite these criticisms, Cornyn expressed confidence in Trump's leadership, stating, "Thankfully, with President Trump at the helm, we will right this ship and secure our border, restore the rule of law, and make America safe again."
