The representative highlighted that the culprit was an illegal alien wanted for murder in another country who had entered the United States through the border under President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas. Roy described the murder as "ANOTHER preventable tragedy due to an unsecure border".In a later tweet on the same day, Roy emphasized the necessity for immigration policies to swiftly address visa overstays. He quoted,
"Yan first arrived in the United States on an F-1 student visa but overstayed her visa and had been living as an illegal alien". Roy strongly advocated that "Illegal alien visa overstayers MUST be deported as quickly as illegal border crossers," signaling a need for stringent enforcement of existing immigration laws.Subsequently, Rep.
