Chip Roy, a representative serving Texas's 21st district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, shared several tweets on his office’s official Twitter account, addressing the SAVE Act and tax-related issues. These communications provide insight into his legislative priorities and concerns regarding fiscal policies.

On April 14, 2025, the press office highlighted an endorsement from FAIRImmigration for legislation spearheaded by Congressman Chip Roy. FAIRImmigration commented, "Introduced in January by Congressman Chip Roy (R-Texas), the FAIR-supported SAVE Act makes important changes to our laws to help ensure that only U.S. citizens vote in federal elections."

Later that day, another tweet emphasized support for the SAVE Act, stating, "Good. Rep. Roy's SAVE Act enables STATES to remove noncitizens from their voter rolls. Let's get HR 22 to President Trump's desk ASAP!"

On April 15, 2025, the Twitter account turned attention to tax matters, marking Tax Day with a message stressing fiscal burden. The tweet conveys a message that, "Uncle Sam’s knocking, and it’s time to pay. The average American family forks over $20,000 in federal, state, and local taxes—way beyond what the Founding Fathers ever imagined." This tweet additionally promised a detailed breakdown of tax expenditure.

Chip Roy is originally from Bethesda, Maryland, and has lived in Austin. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin.
