Rep. Chip Roy Press Office released a series of tweets on March 31, 2025, highlighting the proposed SAVE Act and its implications. Chip Roy, who represents Texas's 21st district in the U.S. Congress, has been actively promoting this legislation aimed at securing voter registration processes.

In a tweet posted on March 31, 2025, Rep. Roy’s press office announced that "Rep. Roy’s SAVE Act (HR 22) will be voted on THIS WEEK." The proposed Act requires proof of citizenship to register to vote and aims to guarantee that states can remove non-citizens from their voter rolls.

The representative, further encouraging action, tweeted "PASS THE SAVE ACT!" later that day. The message echoed support from FAIRImmigration, which promotes the proposed legislation as a common-sense measure.

Rep. Chip Roy addressed concerns and criticisms of the Act from the Left in another tweet, stating, "People in the radical Left are trying to say this is going to prevent married women from voting because if they get married, their name changes. It’s all a lie made up by the radical Left." He emphasized that the Act’s sole purpose is to prevent illegal voting.
