Rep. Chip Roy, an American politician representing Texas’ 21st district in the U.S. Congress, has voiced his opinions on certain policy matters through a series of social media posts. Here, we examine some of the key points made by the Congressman on various dates.

On March 27, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy's press office released a statement addressing government documents, stating, "Government documents, including passports, should reflect the reality that there are TWO GENDERS — male and female." Roy emphasized opposition to the inclusion of options beyond male and female in official U.S. passports, advocating for the passage of "Rep. Roy's The Passport Sanity Act (HR 1139)" which "would PERMANENTLY END radical gender ideology on U.S. passports."

Following this, another post on the same date provided additional resources on the proposed legislation, highlighting, "MORE ON THE PASSPORT SANITY ACT HERE: https://t.co/xwKKb3p0Rp"

Later in the day, the office further commented on immigration matters. A tweet from the representative's account discussed the issue of deportation in the U.S., stating that "30,000 illegal aliens who’ve been ORDERED to be deported have yet to leave the U.S." Rep. Roy emphasized that "EVERY illegal alien SHOULD return home voluntarily or be DEPORTED."
