On April 3, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy praised law enforcement for their success in apprehending members of the Tren de Aragua gang in Hays County, Texas. In his statement, he criticized the Biden Administration's immigration policies, stating, “The Biden Administration’s open-border policies, led by impeached former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, brought a historic".
