Rep. Chip Roy, serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 21st District since 2019, has been vocal on various issues through his press office's recent social media posts. Born in Bethesda, Maryland, and currently residing in Austin, Roy holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas-Austin.

On March 19, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy Press Office expressed satisfaction with law enforcement actions against criminals involved in drug trafficking. The post stated: "Good. American communities are safer when criminals, such as this individual with a fentanyl trafficking conviction, are off the streets."

The following day, March 20, 2025, Rep. Roy commented on judicial matters by emphasizing legislative powers under Article One of the U.S. Constitution. He tweeted: "All tools must be on the table to stop the radicalized judiciary. Whatever we do must be crafted properly... It’s time to show the judiciary what Article One means."

Later that same day, Rep. Roy criticized the Department of Education's effectiveness since its inception in 1980. He suggested its abolition due to rising education costs and declining student test scores: "The Department of Education has existed since 1980... The solution? ABOLISH the Department of Education."
