Governor Abbott emphasized Texas’ leadership in energy production, including wind power and solar energy. He noted that Texas' electric grid is a draw for international companies specializing in AI, semiconductor manufacturing, and technological innovation.
Both leaders exchanged ideas on how Texas’ comprehensive energy strategy could support Ireland's energy requirements. Governor Abbott pointed out Texas' status as a leading exporter of liquified natural gas (LNG) and stressed ongoing collaboration with Ireland in the energy sector.
