Rep. Chip Roy, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for Texas' 21st district, recently expressed his views on several national issues through a series of tweets. The statements covered topics such as the FACE Act, government shutdowns, and international relations.

On March 4, 2025, Rep. Roy criticized the FACE Act in a tweet stating that it "has been used to target and silence pro-life Americans exercising their First Amendment rights." He called for its repeal, emphasizing his stance with the phrase "It should be REPEALED once and for all!" "The FACE Act has been used to target and silence pro-life Americans exercising their First Amendment rights. It should be REPEALED once and for all!"

Later that day, he addressed the issue of potential government shutdowns in another tweet. Rep. Roy accused Democrats of desiring a shutdown and suggested empowering Elon Musk to identify budget cuts for fiscal year 2026: "Rep. Roy: 'Democrats are urging for a shutdown. They've all but said so. They would love to shut down Elon. I think we ought to empower the White House and the President, empower Elon (@elonmusk) to go find those cuts and put those in place in FY 26.'"

In an additional post from the same day, Rep. Roy attributed Russia's actions in Ukraine to perceived weaknesses in President Joe Biden's administration: "Vladimir Putin went into Ukraine because of the weakness and incompetence of Joe Biden. That’s just the truth."
