Rep. Chip Roy, serving Texas' 21st district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, has shared several statements on social media reflecting his views on current political matters. Born in Bethesda, Maryland, and currently residing in Austin, Roy has been vocal about issues ranging from foreign policy to immigration.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy expressed his admiration for a fellow Texan with a succinct statement: "God Bless This Texan."

Later that day, he commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's approach to the United States during a visit. He stated: "Zelenskyy should have come to the United States humbly, not demanding, not expectant, but rather saying, ‘Thank you’ for what we’ve done,” indicating his perspective on diplomatic relations and gratitude.

In another post on the same day, Rep. Roy addressed immigration policies by critiquing Temporary Protected Status (TPS). He argued that TPS functions as an amnesty-like measure shielding many from deportation and urged legislative action: “Temporary” Protected Status (TPS) is de-facto amnesty-lite. TPS shields MILLIONS of economic illegal aliens from deportation each year. Congress MUST restore TPS’s original intent."
