The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced the arrest of Clarence Enyi Mfor, a fugitive on Texas' 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List. Mfor was apprehended in San Antonio by DPS Special Agents from the Texas Anti-Gang Center on March 2. His capture will not result in a Crime Stoppers reward being issued.
Mfor, a 37-year-old criminal illegal immigrant from Cameroon, had been sought by authorities in Bexar County since January 2025 for charges related to sexual assault. In previous incidents, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained him in California in 2019 for alien inadmissibility and again in May 2023 in San Antonio for lacking an immigration visa. He was subsequently released from detention.
Texas Crime Stoppers, funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, provides cash rewards for information leading to arrests of individuals on the state's most wanted lists. As of this year, law enforcement agencies have captured 13 individuals from these lists, including three sex offenders and four criminal illegal immigrants. A total of $20,000 has been awarded for tips that resulted in arrests.
To qualify for cash rewards, informants must submit tips through designated methods while maintaining anonymity with a tip number instead of using their names.
DPS collaborates with local law enforcement to determine which fugitives are placed on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, Sex Offenders and Criminal Illegal Immigrants Lists.
