On January 29, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy emphasized the importance of purposeful unity in a tweet stating: "Unity without purpose is not going to be helpful. We need unity with purpose."

Later that day, he highlighted a security issue affecting American communities by tweeting about an outbreak of "burglary tourism." He explained that Chilean organized crime rings have exploited loopholes in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to enter the United States without proper visa or criminal background checks. The tweet read: "BREAKING: American communities have experienced an outbreak of 'burglary tourism,' in which Chilean organized crime rings have been able to exploit the VWP loopholes by entering the U.S. without a visa or any proper criminal background check."

In another tweet dated January 30, 2025, Rep. Roy expressed condolences and support for those affected by a recent tragedy. He wrote: "This is a horrific tragedy. Right now, our prayers are with the families and loved ones experiencing unimaginable grief and to the heroic first responders working tirelessly to find and rescue survivors. May God be with all of them and all of us."
