On January 24, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy's press office tweeted: "SOUND ON Rep Roy drops the HAMMER on leftist's hysterical hypocrisy about J6 pardons". This tweet suggests a strong critique of what he perceives as leftist hypocrisy regarding the pardoning of individuals involved in the events of January 6th.

On January 26, 2025, another tweet from Rep. Roy stated: "It's time to deliver for the American people. That's why the Freedom Caucus board is urging Congress to move forward on a reconciliation plan that will give the Trump administration the resources it needs to do the job RIGHT AWAY." This indicates support for providing resources to former President Trump's administration through a congressional reconciliation plan.

Later that same day, Rep. Roy praised an aspect of governance with another tweet: "Excellent work by the Trump administration. This is what strength and competence looks like in the executive branch. The federal government has a clear duty to ensure ALL nations take back ALL of their deported citizens, with NO exceptions." Here, he commends actions taken by Trump's administration and emphasizes strict immigration enforcement policies.
