Rep. Chip Roy, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 21st district, has made a series of statements regarding President Trump's Executive Order to withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO). On January 21, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy expressed his approval of President Trump's Executive Order through a tweet: "President Trump's Executive Order to get this country out of the World Health Organization deserves both thanks and commendation. Following this statement, he continued in another tweet posted on the same day: "... to ensure that no future administration can send our tax dollars to this joke of an organization. Let's get this done." This reflects his desire for legislative action to prevent future funding to the WHO.

In a subsequent tweet also dated January 21, 2025, Rep. Roy criticized the WHO further by stating: "... for the Chinese Communist Party and pushes woke nonsense on the rest of the world.
