Governor Greg Abbott has announced the appointment of Lee Harris to the Tenth Court of Appeals, Place 2. Harris will serve a term that expires on December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.
Lee Harris currently serves as Judge of the 66th Judicial District Court in Hill County. His previous roles include County Court at Law Judge for Hill County and partner at Moore & Harris, Attorneys. He is actively involved with several legal associations including the State Bar of Texas (SBOT), SBOT Judicial Section, and the Texas Association of District Judges. Additionally, he is a member and former president of the Hill County Bar Association and was previously part of the County Court at Law Judges Association.
Beyond his professional affiliations, Harris participates in various community organizations. He is on the Board of Directors for Amigos Internacionales, Inc., and is a member of both Hillsboro Masonic Lodge No. 166 and Whitney Masonic Lodge No. 355. His past community involvement includes membership in the Hillsboro Lions Club, serving as president and board member for Blackland Income Growth Seminar, and being a deacon at Peoria Baptist Church.
Harris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School.
