Rep. Chip Roy questions fiscal policy and outlines legislative priorities

Rep. Chip Roy, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 21st district since 2019, has been vocal on several issues through his press office's social media presence. Born in Bethesda, Maryland, and currently residing in Austin, Roy holds degrees from the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Chip Roy's press office shared an op-ed written by him published in National Review Online (NRO). The tweet encouraged followers to "Read Rep. Roy's full op-ed in @NRO".

In another tweet posted on the same day, Rep. Roy posed a question to Congress regarding fiscal policy: "If you can't print money — if literally it was banned today — what would you do?". This inquiry reflects ongoing debates about monetary policy and federal spending.

Later that day, Rep. Roy highlighted his priorities for upcoming legislative actions with a countdown of "45 days until" significant changes including mass deportations and securing the border as part of efforts to "Make America Safe Again".
