As the Texas Senate approaches the conclusion of Ken Paxton's impeachment trial, Common Cause Texas has urged senators to prioritize the state's welfare by voting for his removal. The call comes amid closing arguments in the trial.

Anthony Gutierrez, Executive Director of Common Cause Texas, issued a statement emphasizing the gravity of the allegations against Paxton. "The people of Texas heard indisputable evidence this month of unethical and reprehensible corruption that was spearheaded by Ken Paxton," Gutierrez stated. He further asserted that no one should be above the law, particularly not the Attorney General, who is expected to uphold it.

Gutierrez appealed to all senators to disregard political biases and act in favor of Texans by supporting Paxton's removal from office.
