Governor Greg Abbott extended his congratulations to the Texas restaurants featured in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide Texas. The guide highlights 15 one-MICHELIN-Star establishments and two MICHELIN Green Star eateries, among a total of 117 restaurants representing 26 cuisine types across Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. These include Bib Gourmand restaurants that offer great food at value prices and Recommended eateries.
“Michelin’s recognition of Texas’ outstanding restaurants is a testament to the world-class talent found not only in the greater Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio areas but throughout our great state,” said Governor Abbott. He noted that “the coveted MICHELIN Stars rankings will have a lasting impact on the Texas economy," drawing global travelers to experience diverse flavors beyond barbecue and Tex-Mex. He highlighted that the foodservice industry contributes over $100 billion in sales annually and is Texas's largest private employer.
