Yesterday on Fox News’ "Your World with Neil Cavuto," U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) discussed his recent visit to the border in McAllen, Texas. He praised a federal judge's ruling in Texas that paused the Biden administration’s “parole in place” program for spouses of U.S. citizens and criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her stance on border security ahead of the upcoming election.

“The U.S. government, under the Biden-Harris administration, is essentially providing a ticket for people into the United States,” Cornyn stated.

He also commented on what he views as overreach by Democratic presidents: “[There’s] a tradition of Democratic presidents, now President Biden, overreaching their authority under the law under the guise of executive orders. So I think that the court is entirely correct in hitting the pause button on this.”

Cornyn accused Vice President Harris of changing her position on immigration for political gain. “When [VP Harris] is running for president in the Democratic primary, she takes a radically permissive position or approach to illegal immigration, and then when she realizes this isn’t to her political advantage when she’s now the Democratic nominee, she seems like she is simpatico with President Trump. Both can’t be true.”

He further remarked, “She’s just an opportunist, saying what she thinks she needs to say in order to get elected.”

“This is clearly an opportunistic flip-flop, and she will say or do anything she needs to do in order to win this election, and I think the voters need to beware of that,” Cornyn concluded.
