WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) along with Sens. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) and Angus King (I-Maine) successfully introduced a bipartisan resolution designating April 20th through April 28th as National Parks Week for 2024. The resolution, aiming to promote the appreciation and support of America's national parks, received unanimous approval from the U.S. Senate.

In response to the passage of the resolution, Sen. Cruz expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "America is home to some of the most beautiful natural treasures on earth, like the Guadalupe Mountains in Salt Flat, Texas, which has the highest peak in the Lone Star State. I’m proud to join my colleagues in celebrating our incredible national parks."

The bipartisan effort led by Sen. Cruz, Sen. Daines, and Sen. King garnered support from a total of 64 Senate colleagues from both sides of the aisle, highlighting the widespread recognition of the importance of preserving and enjoying the nation's natural landscapes.

The resolution encourages individuals from all corners of the country to take the opportunity to visit, experience, and engage in recreational activities within the boundaries of America's cherished national parks. This initiative serves as a reminder of the significance of these natural wonders and the need to protect them for future generations to enjoy.
