Governor Greg Abbott has appointed David Lewis to the Statewide Health Coordinating Council (SHCC) for a term set to expire on August 31, 2029. Lewis, who is the president of Montlake Capital Management, LLC, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the council.

David Lewis, based in Austin, has a diverse background in finance and community service. He has served as a board member and former president of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of Dallas/Fort Worth, and is also involved with the CFA Society of Seattle and the Lake Pointe MUD and Preserve. Additionally, Lewis has a background in aviation, having been a former captain in the Civil Air Patrol.

In addition to his professional and community involvement, David Lewis holds memberships in prestigious financial organizations such as the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, CFA Institute, and CFA Society of Austin. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.

As a member of the Statewide Health Coordinating Council, David Lewis will play a crucial role in ensuring that health care services and facilities are accessible to all Texans through strategic health planning activities.
