WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, expressed strong criticism towards the Biden administration's handling of a United Nations Security Council resolution regarding Israel and Hamas.

Cruz accused the Biden administration of undermining Israel and supporting Hamas, stating, “Joe Biden and Biden officials have sought to undermine Israel and boost Hamas since the earliest days of the administration." He further criticized the administration's actions, claiming that "Today's resolution is a capitulation to and victory for Hamas."

Warning of the potential consequences, Cruz highlighted, “Today's abstention will have devastating costs to American national security and the U.S.-Israel relationship." He called on administration officials to reverse their policies, stating, “I call on administration officials, including and especially State Department officials, to reverse these reckless and catastrophic policies. I will continue to hold them accountable until they do.”

The Senator's remarks come in response to the Biden administration abstaining on the UN resolution demanding Israel to halt operations against Hamas without linking the ceasefire to the release of hostages.

The resolution has sparked controversy and raised concerns about its impact on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
