University of Texas at Austin High School District Education: 59 Asian students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 59 Asian students enrolled in University of Texas at Austin High School District in the 2021-22 school year, 268.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that University of Texas at Austin High School District welcomed 666 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 8.9% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

University of Texas at Austin High School District roughly covers schools within Travis County and has a main office in Austin.

University of Texas at Austin High School was the only school in the district which enrolled Asian students, welcoming 59 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
