On Friday, June 30, 2023, at approximately 11:18 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a shooting in the 8800 block of Redfield Lane. Officers at the scene discovered a man, Larry Jennings, lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Jennings died at the scene.
Investigators believe that Jennings was shot by another man in a parking lot in the 8800 block of Redfield Lane in front of several people. Detectives have identified a person of interest.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
This case is being investigated as Austin's 34th homicide of 2023.
