Time:  6:46 p.m. 

Location:  2800 block of Loyola Lane - Dottie Jordan Park 

Deceased:  Peyton Edmonds, Black male, 10/29/1987 

Suspect:  Ricarlos Hall, Black male, 24-years-old

On Sunday, July 2, 2023, at approximately 6:46 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of Loyola Lane. Officers at the scene found a man, Peyton Edmonds, on the ground with gunshot wounds. Paramedics took Edmonds to a hospital, where he later died.

Investigators believe Edmonds was involved in an altercation with another man, Ricarlos Hall, which escalated into Hall shooting Edmonds. Hall left the scene. Hall is the primary suspect in this case. A warrant has been issued for Hall for Edmonds' murder. Investigators are actively looking for him.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.

This case is being investigated as Austin's 35th homicide of 2023.
