Austin Legacy Business Relief Grant applications are due March 10

Ward

The application process for the City of Austin’s $5 million Austin Legacy Business Relief Grant is now open, with final applications due March 10.

The two-phase grant process will provide up to $20,000 to each approved applicant in the first phase, with the potential for an additional $140,000 in funding during the second phase, according to a City of Austin press release.

The initial $20,000 grants are expected to be distributed in March by PeopleFund, with the number of approved applicants potentially limited by allotted Phase 1 funding. In addition to the monetary award, Phase 1 participants will complete a Technical Assistance Evaluation and be provided access to business coaching and one-on-one technical assistance.

Phase 1 participants will be eligible to apply for up to $140,000 in additional funding, with the Phase 1 evaluation and initial scoring matrix playing a role in determining which participants receive funding should demand exceed available funds.
