Representative Chip Roy, who has served Texas' 21st District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared a series of tweets addressing legislative measures and policies regarding voter eligibility and border security. These are issues he has often highlighted during his tenure.

On March 31, 2025, Roy retweeted a link from The Daily Signal, underscoring legislation that he sponsored which mandates states to ensure the removal of noncitizens from their lists of eligible voters. Chip Roy, R-Texas, further mandates that states remove noncitizens from their official lists of eligible voters.'"

Later on the same day, Representative Roy emphasized the need for comprehensive border security policies through legislative action. He stated in a tweet, "Good. Now it’s time for Congress to pass #HR2’s policies. Texas, California, and ALL states benefit from a permanently secure border."

The following day, on April 1, 2025, Rep. Roy reiterated his stance on election integrity, succinctly tweeting, "American elections are for American citizens."

Roy, a resident of Austin, Texas, was born in Bethesda, Maryland, and has an academic background from the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin. His focus on electoral and border security continues to be a significant part of his legislative agenda.
