Rep. Chip Roy, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 21st district, has been active on social media discussing various issues. Born in Bethesda, Maryland, and residing in Austin, Roy has served since 2019 after succeeding Lamar Smith. He holds a BS from the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of Texas-Austin.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Roy expressed his views on government inefficiency in a tweet: "They game the system because big government empowers them, and they view it that way, and they don't want it exposed."

Later that day, Rep. Roy shared his experience welcoming the Greater San Antonio Chamber to Washington D.C., stating: "Rep. Roy and his staff were delighted to welcome the Greater San Antonio Chamber (@gr8tersachamber) to DC during their annual SA to DC fly in!"

In another tweet posted on March 5, 2025, Rep. Roy addressed illegal immigration issues: "A single illegal alien SMUGGLED 20,000 illegal aliens from Guatemala into the U.S. over 5 years." He emphasized actions needed against migrant smuggling.
