Rep. Chip Roy, representing Texas' 21st district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently took to social media to express his views on several issues affecting the nation. In a series of tweets, Rep. Roy addressed topics ranging from government spending and judicial actions to the state of federal buildings.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy criticized what he described as excessive spending by the Biden administration, attributing it as a cause of inflation. He stated that "The way we eliminate the inflation caused by the Biden administration is by getting rid of the excessive spending." He further asserted that reducing congressional spending would result in more financial resources for individuals: "The more Congress cuts spending, the more money in your pocket."

Later on the same day, he commented on legal challenges faced by President Biden's use of executive authority regarding governmental reforms led by Elon Musk. Rep. Roy accused "activist judges" of misusing legal frameworks such as the Administrative Procedures Act to hinder these efforts and emphasized that legislative power rests with Congress: "Congress has the authority to AMEND the law."

In another tweet dated February 12, 2025, Rep. Roy drew attention to underutilized government buildings which he claimed were infested and poorly maintained. He questioned why taxpayers continue to fund operations when government offices are not fully operational: "Why have the American people been funding a government that doesn’t show up to work?"
