Governor Abbott reappoints Erin Lunceford to Texas justice lands board

Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Erin Lunceford to the Board for Lease of Texas Department of Criminal Justice Lands. Her term is set to expire on September 1, 2025. The Board for Lease was established to manage the leasing of land owned by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Erin Lunceford, based in Houston, is a lawyer who currently focuses on mediations and arbitrations through her firm, Lunceford ADR, LLC. She previously served as a judge for the 61st Judicial District Court in Harris County. Lunceford holds board certification in Personal Injury Trial Law and is recognized as a certified Medical Malpractice Specialist by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. Her past roles include serving as a board member of the Houston Bar Association and as an associate member and former president of the Houston chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder and her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston.

The appointment requires confirmation by the Senate.
