The U.S. Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee has approved 17 bipartisan bills and advanced the nomination of Howard Lutnick to be Secretary of Commerce. The committee's decisions cover a broad range of issues within its jurisdiction, including transportation, weather forecasting, consumer protection, manufacturing resilience, ocean management, tourism promotion, and online child safety.
During the executive session held today in Washington D.C., Howard Lutnick's nomination was passed with a roll call vote resulting in 16 Yeas and 12 Nays.
