U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, has expressed his approval following the Senate's confirmation of Sean Duffy as U.S. Secretary of Transportation. The confirmation saw a strong bipartisan vote with 77 yeas and 22 nays.
Senator Cruz stated, "I am grateful the Senate has voted in support of Sean Duffy to lead the Department of Transportation. Throughout the confirmation process, Sean has displayed a passion for public service and a willingness to listen and learn to ensure that this vital department is operating at the highest level of safety and efficiency across all modes under its jurisdiction."

Prior to the full Senate vote, Duffy's nomination was unanimously approved by the Commerce Committee with a vote tally of 28 yeas and 0 nays.
