Holiday Tree Recycling Interviews and B-roll Opportunity

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin Resource Recovery (ARR), a department of the City of Austin, invites media to record b-roll during the 37th Annual Holiday Tree Recycling event at Zilker Park on Saturday, January 6, 2024, starting at 10 a.m. Interviews can be scheduled by calling ARR’s media contact.

WHAT:

Media availability to provide information and B-roll opportunities for holiday tree recycling and free mulch availability.

WHEN:

10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024

WHERE:

Zilker Park Polo Fields Parking Lot

2225 Andrew Zilker Rd., Austin, TX 78746

PARKING:

 From Barton Springs Road, turn onto Stratford Drive. Continue right at the fork on Stratford Drive, which becomes Andrew Zilker Road. Follow directional signs past William Barton Drive, then proceed to the picnic area parking. A staff member will direct you to a parking spot.

MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES: 

B-roll of the tree recycling process, volunteers directing traffic and residents dropping off their trees for recycling will be available. Interviews with an ARR media contact can also be scheduled. Pictures from past tree recycling events and the mulching process are also available for those who can’t attend.
