Austin, Texas - Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Keith Halman to the Department of Information Resources. Halman, currently serving as the associate vice chancellor and chief information officer for the Texas Tech University System, will bring his expertise to the Board, which coordinates and directs information resources management within state government.

Halman's appointment will expire on February 1, 2025. In addition to his role at Texas Tech University, Halman also serves as the interim CIO for Texas Tech University and is a board member of the Lonestar Education and Research Network.

Halman's qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems and a Master of Science in Business Administration in Management Information Systems, both earned from Texas Tech University.
