Rep. Roger Williams, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 25th district since 2013, recently expressed his views on various topics through social media posts.
On May 13, 2025, Rep. Williams commented on a decision by the Major League Baseball Commissioner to remove Pete Rose and “Shoeless” Joe Jackson from the permanently ineligible list. He stated, “Today, the @MLB Commissioner removed Pete Rose and ‘Shoeless’ Joe Jackson from the permanently ineligible list. The time has come for them to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.”
The following day, May 14, 2025, he joined other lawmakers in honoring law enforcement personnel during National Police Week. Williams tweeted about this event, saying, “Honored to join @GOPMajorityWhip in celebrating @CapitolPolice and other law enforcement heroes during #NationalPoliceWeek. These men and women put their lives on the line each day to keep Americans safe. We are forever grateful for their service.”
Later that same day, Williams acknowledged Border Czar Tom Homan’s efforts regarding national security and border control with a tweet stating “For Border Czar @RealTomHoman, promises made are promises kept. Law and order is back. We will continue the fight to Make America Safe Again.”
Roger Williams was born in Evanston, Illinois in 1949 and resides in Weatherford. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
