UIL announces schedule for state swimming & diving championships in San Antonio and Austin

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has announced the schedule and details for the 2026 Swimming and Diving State Championships. The events will be divided by conference, with competitions for Conferences 4A & Below set for February 12-13 at Josh Davis Natatorium in San Antonio, and those for Conferences 5A & 6A scheduled for February 20-21 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center on the University of Texas at Austin campus.

For Conferences 4A & Below, swimming preliminaries will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 12, followed by diving preliminaries at 2:00 PM. On Friday, February 13, diving finals are set to start at 9:30 AM and swimming finals at 11:00 AM.

Conferences 5A & 6A will have their diving and swimming preliminaries on Friday, February 20. Conference 5A diving prelims begin at 8:50 AM, followed by swimming prelims at 9:30 AM. Conference 6A diving prelims are scheduled for 2:50 PM and swimming prelims for 3:30 PM. Finals will take place on Saturday, February 21, with Conference 5A starting at 10:00 AM and Conference 6A following at 4:00 PM.

Media outlets interested in covering the championships must submit an online credential request form before Noon on Wednesday, February 11 for Conferences 4A & Below or before Noon on Thursday, February19 for Conferences5A&6A. The request form is available online at https://app.smartsheet.com/b/publish?EQBCT=6c60484b4f514b90a1f74f02002c3897 and should include information about which schools will be covered as well as a list of representatives attending.

All seating is general admission. Ticket prices for Conference4A&Below are $15 per session or $25 for all sessions; tickets can be purchased in advance online. For Conferences5A&6A, tickets are also $15 per session or $25 for all sessions (each conference sold separately), with availability posted closer to the event through the same link.

Parking arrangements differ by venue. Attendees of the Conferences4A&Below event can park free of charge in front of Josh Davis Natatorium. Spectators attending events at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center must purchase parking passes online by selecting ‘Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center’ along with their preferred dates.

Spectators can access schedules, team profiles, live stats, and other information via UIL State’s official mobile app—available free from both the App Store and Google Play.
