Texas Women’s Swimming and Diving finished third at the 2026 NCAA Championships with a total of 376.5 points, following Virginia with 589 points and Stanford with 380.5 points, according to a March 21 announcement from the team. The event took place at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
The result marks the sixth consecutive year that Texas has placed among the top three teams under head coach Carol Capitani. This is the program’s longest such streak since its run from 1990 to 1995, when Texas achieved thirteen straight top-three finishes at the NCAA Championships between 1983 and 1995.
Campbell Stoll led the Longhorns by winning the national title in the 200-yard butterfly, setting a McAuley Aquatic Center record with a time of 1:50.26. Her victory represents her fourth All-America honor and continues Texas’ dominance in this event, as it is now the fourth consecutive year a Longhorn has won the title. Stoll’s win follows Emma Sticklen’s victories from 2023 to 2025.
Other notable performances included Campbell Chase earning All-America honors with a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley, Bayleigh Cranford placing fifth on platform diving, and a record-setting performance by Eva Okaro, Lillie Nesty, Nikolett Padar, and Erin Gemmell in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The relay team finished third with a time of 3:07.02, breaking their previous program record set earlier this season.
Several athletes received honorable mention All-America honors across multiple events. The final top ten teams included California (fourth), Tennessee (fifth), Michigan (sixth), Indiana (seventh), Louisville (eighth), NC State (ninth), and Florida (tenth).
Looking ahead, Texas will aim to continue its strong performance streak under Capitani as it builds on its recent successes at future championships.
