Texas Volleyball will begin its 2026 season on the national stage at AVCA First Serve in Milwaukee, according to a March 23 announcement. The event will take place at Fiserv Forum and features several top volleyball programs over four days.

The Longhorns are scheduled for two matches during the opening weekend. They will face Arizona State on Saturday, Aug. 22, and then play Marquette on Monday, Aug. 24.

Texas has an all-time record of eight wins and two losses against Arizona State, having won their last two encounters. Their most recent meeting was in September 2025 when Texas swept Arizona State at Gregory Gym in Austin. The match against Marquette marks only the second time these teams have met; Texas previously defeated Marquette in four sets during the Sweet 16 round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament in Austin. This year’s game is part of the “BIG EAST Challenge” doubleheader that also includes Xavier playing Pittsburgh.

Ticket packages for the first three days of AVCA First Serve are available through Ticketmaster, and further updates can be found on the event’s official page. In addition to this showcase, Texas has announced participation in the Sprouts Farmers Market Broadway Block Party on Sept. 6 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Last season, Texas advanced to its eighteenth NCAA Regional Final appearance over twenty seasons and finished with a record of twenty-six wins and four losses, including twelve victories over ranked opponents.
