Governor Greg Abbott has announced a reward for information leading to the arrest of Trevor McEuen, who is wanted after failing to appear in court on charges including capital murder. The Office of the Governor’s Public Safety Office is offering up to $10,000, while additional rewards from Kaufman County Crime Stoppers and the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office bring the total potential reward to $30,000.

McEuen was added to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitive List after removing his ankle monitor and leaving his residence on May 5, 2025. He faces charges related to the shooting death of Aaron Martinez in 2023.

Governor Abbott emphasized the need for bail reform: “Trevor McEuen is exactly why Texas must fix its broken and deadly bail system,” he stated. He urged Texans with information about McEuen to contact law enforcement through the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline or online tip submissions.

The authorities have assured anonymity for those providing tips. It is advised that citizens do not attempt to apprehend fugitives themselves as they are considered armed and dangerous.
