Governor Greg Abbott announced that Texas has been named the Best Business Climate in the United States for the third consecutive year by Business Facilities magazine. The recognition is part of the magazine’s 2025 Annual Rankings Report.
“Texas moves at the speed of business,” Governor Abbott stated. He highlighted Texas’ position as “the eighth-largest economy in the world” and its unique business advantages, including no corporate or personal income tax, a skilled workforce, access to global markets, robust infrastructure, and a reasonable regulatory environment. Abbott credited collaboration with the Texas Legislature for advancing pro-growth policies and enhancing government efficiency during their most recent legislative session.
The state was acknowledged for more than 1,300 qualified capital investment projects completed in 2024. Over 20 companies have announced plans to relocate their corporate headquarters to Texas as part of this activity.
Business Facilities magazine’s flagship ranking considers economic development activities from the previous year, focusing on capital investment and job creation announcements. The criteria also include economic strength, regulatory and tax climate, infrastructure, and workforce availability.
